Discover the art of quilting with our Introduction to Quilting for the Complete Beginner Workshop! Join us as we guide you through creating a beautiful one-piece lap quilt using a single Charm pack, perfect for beginners. Learn essential quilting techniques whilst creating your own one-piece masterpiece to start you on your quilting journey. The workshop will cover.. Choosing the right colours and tones of your fabrics. How to cut fabric correctly with a rotary cutter. Accurately sew a 1/4 inch seam and piece the squares together. Attaching wadding and backing fabric. Bind the edge of the lap quilt. We do have sewing machines for you to use if you wish but please feel free to bring your own machine. Basic sewing tools will be available to use on the day if required. Tea, Coffee and Cake is provided throughout the day. You will need; 1 Charm pack 100% Cotton Backing Fabric – Approximately 1 metre in total Wadding Topstitch Thread Bias Binding We will break for lunch so please bring a packed lunch. Supplies are available to purchase from the shop either prior to or on the day at a 10% discount. This Workshop is suitable those with basic knowledge of there sewing machine.
